Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future (Stirb Nicht im Wartezimmer der Zukunft)
Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future
Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future
you watch wild fires burn, the flames will soon be here
as herds of deer run to escape
fire fighters told you to get out yesterday
now you’re treading water in a lake
Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future
Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future
seven hippies standing wearing signs
handcuffed to each other as a human chain
nobody can get into their offices today
seven hippies caused a big delay
Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future
Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future
if you have something to fall back on you’ll fall back on it
nothing to lose may be nothing to lose
but in the end its still nothing
I played all of my cards, I stayed in every hand
I never folded, ante’d up and made my stand
but when your luck runs out, you have no argument
you pay your bill and go on home
Don’t Die in the Waiting Room of the Future

Form of Faith

A Form of Faith
you say you can pray away cancer and disease
driving blind, a hairpin curve, and only your beliefs
what will you do when you lean back and no one’s there to catch you?
you send your thoughts and prayers to nowhere, and they do nothing!
I believe in chaos but I’ll ride a wave if I manage to catch one
we all live with mortality, borrowed time, under the gun
somewhere in the chaos there is peace to be found
is this a form of faith if it keeps our feet on the ground?
you say I don’t believe in anything at all
but I do believe what I see with my eyes
and I believe that life just happens
look down at my feet and see the ground that is there
this may not be faith but I believe it gets me there!
I believe in chaos but I’ll ride a wave if I manage to catch one
we all live with mortality, borrowed time, under the gun
somewhere in the chaos there is peace to be found
is this a form of faith if it keeps our feet on the ground?
I go out in the wilderness
and take some time to look around
what I see you might call God
I just call it solid ground
you say you can pray away cancer and disease
driving blind, a hairpin curve, and only your beliefs
